Hannah's Story

I’ve been a full-time certified personal trainer and fitness coach since 2009. I have Crohn’s disease, which is an inflammatory autoimmune condition that affected my large intestine.

After fighting for 4 years in a never ending cycle of painful flares and medications, I had a lifesaving surgery in 2017 to remove my large intestine.

I left the hospital a mere shadow of my former self; my 5’ 10” frame had withered to 114lbs. I was determined to rebuild my health and would no longer allow this horrible disease to define me.

Over the next 6 months I was able to regain all the muscle and strength that I had lost, and even competed on season 11 of American Ninja Warrior with my ostomy bag proudly on display!

I have found a new passion in helping others who are starting from scratch, because I know what its like!

Everything from complete beginners, to post-op, post-natal, injury recovery, and even athletes who have taken too much time off and want to rebuild their strength.

It’s never too late to get started, and there is no such thing as “too far gone”. I want to show everyone how to start exactly where they are at and improve from there. Everyone can move, and I can show you how to do it safely.

What qualifications and certifications do you have as a personal trainer?

We're both certified personal trainers with over 25 years of combined experience. We've helped hundreds of clients improve their fitness. Matt has won body building competitions. Hannah has battled back from Crohn's disease.

What is your training philosophy or approach?

Keep it simple. We try not to focus on whatever new exercise is trendy. We tend to stick to tried and true methods results.

How do you motivate clients to stay on track with their fitness goals?

We find that every client is motivated differently. We figure out what works for you and we lean into it to help give you the extra push you need.

How long will it take to see results?

The time it takes to see results will vary for each individual. As long as you stay consistent and try to eat healthy, you can see results relatively quickly.

Can you accommodate any specific health conditions or injuries I have?

Of course! We thrive on helping people with health conditions or those recovering from injury get back to feeling better again.

Do you offer nutritional guidance or meal planning services?

We do not offer meal planning but we are relatively comfortable providing some nutritional guidance. It should be noted that we are not nutritionists though.

Hannah specializes in helping rebuild after chronic illness, surgery, or childbirth. She loves to make the gym an inclusive place where everyone feels comfortable.

In-Home Personal Training

If you're in the Phoenix area, Hannah will train you in the comfort of your own home.

In-Studio Personal Training

Hannah can also train you in-studio at her gym in Old Town Scottsdale, AZ.

Virtual Personal Training

If online training sessions are more your speed, Hannah can accommodate that as well.
